DDF Sophia

Dark Fawn, 801488, Peruvian

Sophia possesses a very dense, tightly locked fleece that comes back fully locked after each shearing. Shearing 12+ lbs. her first year, she imparts her density and fine fiber to all her crias.

  Sir Lancelot
    Dark Brown, 803535, Peruvian

Extremely dense (at just over 2 years we took 20 pounds of fleece off him), now that he is shorn he shines like a new copper penny! Full Peruvian, half Accoyo, rich dark color and strong lock. Co-Owned with Lost River Alpacas. Lance has consistently thrown crias darker than the dams, and has had several chocolate brown crias from white dams.

Hot Topic is an outstanding full Peruvian suri with all the qualities you should be looking for in a suri and we are offering 1/2 interest for sale for $22,000. Hot Topic's dam is one of our best producing females, Sophia, an Accoyo Inca daughter, who has given us 4 outstanding dark colored cria, each by different sires. Sophia's offspring all possess extreme luster and lock. Hot Topic's sire, Sir Lancelot, out of the Angel and Uribe lines, has lock, luster and density that he passes on to his offspring. Lancelot has produced dark cria out of a white dam. From his ears to his toes, "7" has the coverage and luster to rate as a "Hot Topic" in the world of suris.

His first confirmed pregnancy is our breeding to Captain Morgan's dam, Swiss Miss. Confirmed by ultrasound, first cria out of "7" is expected July of 2006.
