Verticase is known for producing amazing offspring.
He is the half brother to the infamous Snowmass Matrix who sold for an amazing record- setting $675,000 to Ernest and Barbara Kellogg in February. Both of these elite males were sired by the late Snowmass Quechua. Quechua himself was a legend of his own, awarded multiple years in a row with the prestigious title of Futurity Herdsire of the Year! Verticase fleece contains all of the characteristics that any serious Huacaya breeder would look for in an Elite Herdsire. His fleece is extremely fine yet still carrying amazing amount of density! The results of his skin biopsy show that his density is 110 follicles/sq.mm which is off the charts!!! Norm Evans said Quechuas Verticase scares me as I have never measured a mature alpaca that is this dense with this type of micron count! Verticase has the genes to prove himself to be one of the most Elite Herdsires in our Industry today.
Delta Blues brings sought after genetics of Hemingway, Vengador, Andean Bronze, Casanova, and Legacy. All via Quechua, the famous dam, Sobrina, Royal Bronze, and Nova. These prepotency ancestors produced Delta Blues' dam, Snowmass Delta Dawn and his sire, Quechua's Verticase.
Delta Blues has done well in the show ring. The judges commented on his substance of bone, his stellar frame and his appealing head and overall look. His fleece exhibits a bright sheen with a high frequency crimp style organized into a staple formation that is highly aligned, indicating his substantial density.
Many colors by this male, including black and dark fawns.
