5Peruvian Silkete 8169

Medium Fawn, 800403, Full Peruvian

Silkete is full Peruvian, medium fawn with the highly desired vicuna coloration. She has produced five crias, four females! and all of her crias have benefited from her exceptional conformation; straight legs, long stretchy neck, and beautiful head. Her fleece is silky and lustrous with an excellent handle. Silkete is a wonderful mother; she is currently bred to Bernini, 2003 AOBA Fawn Champion, sired by Mahogany Prince of PVA. Mahogany Prince of PVA recently sold for a world record $325,000!!

  Fine Threads Jax
    True Black, 816041, Peruvian

This herdsire has the most dense, tightly locked fiber we've seen on a very dark animal. He's black to the skin with a gray top knot. He's got excellent coverage, and is conformationally correct. His sire, Renzo has been nominated for the Futurity numerous times, and we feel that Fine Threads will follow in his footsteps. Fine Thread's first baby has arrived! He's a flawless fawn, white, and gray pinto out of a completely white dam! We can't wait to see what Fine Threads does next! Fine Threads Jax is co-owend with Bill Brausch and Bill Vonderhaar of Alpaca Bella.

See the new photos! Annie (who is 7) was practicing her show skills yesterday when these photos were taken. Even though Silken Threads is very tall and stretchy, she is very easy-going.
Silken Threads is the beautiful daughter of Fine Threads Jax and carries his black and grey color genetics. Silken has a grey face and areas of grey on her neck and around her tail. Her vicuna traits are very evident now since she has been shorn. Silken was at AOBA 2004, but missed her class when an additional show ring was opened at the last minute and I was still in the show ring with Sandusky who had just placed in the ribbons. Silken has the consistent lock structure, luster, handle and density that would have placed her at the top of her color class. Because of Silken's color genetics, she could be bred to black or grey and produce beautiful crias of either color. Silken will soon be bred to Eminance Grise. Eminace is a 1/4 Accoyo grey with mostly grey and black off-spring on the ground. We are thrilled to be able to offer her in the Private Collection Auction to be held in Findlay, Ohio, September 17th, 2005 (
