Pickles is now available to a good home. He is a true black huacaya gelding and is an excellent babysitter/guard for crias. Luna Rosa Ranch bought him because, when they started breeding suris, people weren’t as familiar with suris and they wanted to have a huacaya on hand so they could go over the differences and actually SHOW people the fiber characteristics.

Now the suri population has increased in the US (and on Luna Rosa Ranch!) and they find they no longer need to explain the differences in huacayas and suris . . . So, Pickles is available. Since they’ve had him from the beginning of their farm, they really care about finding him a good home. He is very gentle, you can walk up to him in a pen and hug him, AND he's a very good friend/protector of crias. His size tends to discourage "average" size alpacas from confrontations! He's a "guard" animal without the size of a llama.
