Artist Artemis

True Black, 818601, ...

This deep True Black fleeced dam with outstanding BRIGHTNESS, is the daughter of multi-champion herd sire REQUEST THE BEST who resides at A.L.Pacas in New York. The depth of her color is indicative of the silver grey in her bloodlines.

An experienced mom, her crias have always been born without assistance and have enjoyed an abundant milk supply. Artemis is a quick and easy breeder, usually taking on the first "date."

The proud dam of 3 outstanding crias, True Black 2002 Artemis'Oreo Ari 841020, dark fawn 2005 Remington's Shadow Ari 1312539, and 2006 med fawn Bolero's Kodiak ARI 30670372.

With two of the most awesome full-Accoyo, champion Grandsire's, Bolero lacks nothing in phenotype and, regarding genetics, everyone would love to have Bolero's bloodlines in their offspring! 1/2 accoyo from both sire and dam's side, Bolero is from Hotcakes(sired by the internationally famous Accoyo Grand Master) and Peruvian Moonlight Majestry( sired by the amazing 2 time national grand champion Accoyo Royal fawn)and pperuvian Emilio(referred to as the "fiber machine") among others including Alianza!

Sporting EXCELLENT DENSITY, Kodiak is MEDIUM FAWN w/RECESSIVE TRUE BLACK genetics. This 1/4 ACCOYO offspring brings together the absolutely fantastic accoyo and alianza bloodlines of ACCOYO GRAND MASTER (maintains staple length), ACCOYO ROYAL FAWN (strong bone) MOONLIGHT MAJESTY, PANACHE's BOLERO (dense and fine), and PPeruvian EMILIO (the fiber machine) on his sire's side and the 11 time WINNER MSG REQUEST THE BEST(one of the great GREY studs of his time Won Nationals 3 years in a row), CISCO KID, and EL GRIS on his dam's. These are top bloodlines and Kodiak is a proven stud with a cria on the ground in 2010. Kodiak has shown, placed, and already demonstrates presence and calmness, along with his great fleece.

Kodiak wasn't phased in his first winter's 0 degree weather with wind blowing the snow. This boy was out in the pasture eating the good stuff in his thick, crimpy fleece. All the other alpacas were in the shelter, but Kodiak was enjoying this Artic freeze, just like the bears in Alaska that he is named after!

This incredible Medium Fawn male's fleece has density to fill your hand, with good crimp and amplitude. He was born with spots of silver grey which disappeared from his blanket and his face. But May shearing found a large patch of grey on the front of his neck! This boy will carry the rose greys, silvers, and deep true black genetics of his dam along with those fantastic Accoyo Grand Master and Emilio line genes into his offspring.

Black or grey bred to Kodiak increases chance of black or grey cria! Here is your chance to get these awesome genetics in GREY and BLACK . Medium Fawn male, Recessive Black, no white spot!

Kodiak's 2010 fleece was professionally graded with the blanket being a true grade 3 and grade 4, the most popular grades per the mill, and lbs of it. He has such density that his fleece 'cracks' as he moves.

  Awards Received
The crimp of his staple has well defined architecture from skin to tip and appears to be in the low 20's for micron with a frequency of 7 crimps per inch. He has medium to above average density. He has great presence.
