Artist Artemis

True Black, 818601, 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Other/Unknown

This deep True Black fleeced dam with outstanding BRIGHTNESS, is the daughter of MULTI-CHAMPION MSG sire REQUEST THE BEST, winner of 11 blue ribbons before the industry had championships. The depth of her color is indicative of the silver grey in her bloodlines.

An experienced mom, her crias have always been born without assistance and have enjoyed an abundant milk supply. Artemis is a quick and easy breeder, usually taking on the first "date."

The proud dam of 4 outstanding crias, True Black 2002 Artemis'Oreo Ari 841020, dark fawn 2005 Remington's Shadow Ari 1312539, and 2006 med fawn Bolero's Kodiak ARI 30670372.

Before 8:30 am, on Aug 10th Artemis had an unassisted birth of her 4th awesome lt brown male cria weighing 18 lbs get of White, 7/8 ACCOYO, JFK's CASHEW. The cria is growing rapidly on her good milk supply and sports a black spot on his left flank! We name him Cashew's COMANCHERO of Imaginary.

Cashew's background includes ACCOYO Herdsire

  JFK's Cashew
    Beige, 1066906, Full Peruvian

Cashew's background includes ACCOYO Herdsires YUPANQUI, FELIX, and EL MOUSTACHIO. His fleece sports their awesome finess (BABY QUALITY 18-22 MICRON)and crimp. His fleece is super dense, crimpy with handle, character, fineness, uniformity and complete nose-to-toes coverage! His full bonnet is a testament to his density throughout his blanket. He possesses the rare trait of skin folds on his neck that Don Julio Bareda was breeding into his elite accoyos to increase density. We expect AWESOME Cria from him this year.

Yupanqui was reportedly the #1 male pick of the '95 Five Star Peruvian Importation and was singled out by Don Julio Barreda as one of the premier herdsires in the United States. Sadly Yupanqui passed away in 2005.

Cashew represents his outstanding background well, and his lineage has been confirmed and documented. He exhibits solid conformation, with a good squared-off body style and excellent bite. His fleece has excellent density, coverage and a tight ful

2007: He left the farm unshorn.

Nearly 1/2 ACCOYO, Comanchero is showing strong early growth with dense bone. Boy does he have the legs! He was 42.5 lbs at last weigh in at the end of September. He is getting big fast and the fleece is looking GREAT. It is light brown with dark brown stockings and ears and has a BLACK spot on his left flank. He has grey in his face like his brother Kodiak who is Med Fawn with grey under his neck (6") and won 3rd & 4th at Triple Crown. His fleece shows crimp and bundling. About 3 inches staple. He is already practicing breeding at the young age of 10 weeks! At this time, Chero sells with his Mom. A 3 in 1 package. Price below is just for him, and he can come home after he has weaned at 6 months old.

While halter training today, I took a good look at this boy. He has very nice density in his topnot, neck and across his shoulders and his flanks at this time. It is also a very fine fleece. Over 4 inches staple length. Next time we'll count crimps per inch and give you an idea of his guestimated micron counts! Good coverage on his face, too. He's a week away from 6 months old.

Chero is only 4 months old in these pictures and look at the wonderful changes. His neck has lengthened, giving him more typey huacaya "square" conformation. Looking at his and Kodiak's baby pictures, I see they both had shorter necks and longer legs. He is really looking good!

His sire is nearly full accoyo, carrying an 18-20 micron fleece and the great bloodlines of Yupanqui, Felix, an El Moustachio. His dam is a NONFADING blue black from Request the Best, Cisco Kid, and El Gris and their outstanding GREY genes.

Chero's showed at Triple Crown prior to his recent sale and transfer to North Carolina. I hear he handled the transport well and blended right in to the rest of the herd, acting like he was home!! He had recently been getting extra walking lessons so I hope he continues to be well behaved for the happy new owners!! Congratulations!!!!!

  Awards Received
If black and grey with Accoyo bloodlines are what you are looking for. This is the package for you!. With improving spring weather, he will be trained to halter, lead, show, and obstacle as we feel that the best males are well trained and easy to handle around humans!
