Mocha Caramela

Dark Rose Grey, 812914, 1/2 Bolivian, 1/2 Chilean

Mocha is a proven female, having delivered 4 previous crias, including a rose grey and a black. Her first cria was a stillborn, with no obvious cause of death. Determined most likely to have been heat stress as Mocha delivered in a very hot July and had not been shorn prior to delivery. Subsequent births have been uneventful. Timing of these births has been poor because of availability of herdsires to breed her to (owners lived in Alaska) AND timing of breedings. Hence her only having 4 crias to her credit. She is an excellent mom, delivering crias with ease, has abundant milk and is very attentive to her offspring.

Mocha carries an extremely dense fleece and has won several 1st place ribbons in fleece competitions. Mocha would make a wonderful addition if you're looking to add grey to your breeding program.

Mocha is bred to WP Trueno, our Accoyo McGwire son. He has just started his breeding career and we're anxious to see what HE produces - we already know the producti

Mocha Caramela's Shadow Sold!

Shadow comes from a long line of grey and black ancestors on both sides of her pedigree. She sports a true black fleece with nice density and excellent coverage, head to toe. Fiber has wonderful crimp, nice bundling, and is very bright - a nice step up for that next generation of breeding.

Her dam is an excellent milker, delivering healthy crias and she is very attentive. These are very heritable traits and something to consider when looking to purchase a maiden.

Shadow's sire, "Mr. T" for short, is a son of Bolivian Black Thunder, and has produced multiple blacks and greys. Black Thunder has produced 64% black or grey offspring (out of 224 crias!) With these genetics, who knows what possibilities this little girl could produce?

Owners have serious health issues and need to sell their remaining alpacas. In addition to Shadow, please check out Mocha Caramela and 007's Smokey Rose. These 3 girls would make a very nice package that won't have you mortgaging the farm. Financing is available at 50% down and balance due over 12 months with no interest.
