The Captain's Miss Chloe

Medium Brown, 848771, 1/2 Bolivian, 1/2 Peruvian

Miss Chloe was purchased as a part of our foundation herd. She is one of the first offspring of our herdsire, Captain Morgan. For her first breeding, we chose another one of the highly prized suri herdsires in the country, The Mahogany Prince! Well, these two produced a wonderful male cria who definitely lives up to our expectations of this mating! Check out Prince Morgan and see if you agree.

  Fiorenza of PVA
    Bay Black, 806088, Full Peruvian

Fiorenza of PVA, son of Kobe and grandson of two-time Futurity Herdsire of the Year, Mahogany Prince, has it all! AND, he has eight confirmed, ultrasounded pregnancies! This is the male we have chosen to breed our Captain Morgan females to. A full Peruvian and full 4th generation suri on both sides of his pedigree, this male has the genotype AND the phenotype to qualify for our breeding philosophy - breed the best to the best to produce the next generation, always striving for that "perfect alpaca"!!

Fiorenza exhibits exceptional luster and carries a uniform, wavy lock with good density. A very soft fleece with a silky handle and that "greasy" feel, it just begs to be touched! Fineness and that soft feel in blacks don't typically go hand in hand - that is what drew us to Fio in the first place.

His first crias are on a ground! First daughter is a bay black beauty and sold at just 2 months old! Limited outside breedings to Fiorenza will be available in 2007 so reserve y

Fiona is a FULL 5th generation US born suri. All ancestors for 5 generations are listed on her ARI - no imports and no unknowns. There are very few of these in the country - this girl is 100% USA Suri!

Fiona has inherited all the suri characteristics that we are breeding for - tiny pencilled locks, that oily feel to her lustrous fleece, incredible handle, and a very typey suri head.

Her dam, The Captain's Miss Chloe, placed in virtually every show she was shown in, including Color Champion at 2004 Alpaca Futurity. Chloe delivers her crias unassisted and produces healthy birth weights and weight gains (her first cria was weaned at 4 mos. and 62 lbs.!) Her fleece regrowth is locked every year and she maintains a very high degree of luster. Fiona.......ditto!

Fiona's sire, Fiorenza of PVA, brings good bone structure, size, and strong genetics to the plate in this combination. Our purchase of Fio was long thought out and our search for him was lengthy. We wanted to find that next generation male to breed our Captain Morgan daughters. Fio not only has 3 generations of champion ancestors, he stands alone on his suri phenotype and the qualities he is imparting to his offspring.

Fiona's 1st cria was a stunning female, Francesca, out of Bet on Black, a full Peruvian son of Prince Greystone and DDF Sophia, our Inca daughter. For her 2nd breeding, we chose to breed her to a local herdsire although, had Bet on Black been closer to home, she would definitely have been bred back to him, given the quality of the female she produced. She was bred to Kaden, a full accoyo son of Jax Accoyo Kalvin, a Jackpot (deceased) son, and produced an outstanding male, K-Oss, who has proven himself in the showring.

While she is currently open, she comes with a breeding to any Wings and A Prayer herdsire and we'll help you decide which of our males would be the ideal match for Fiona. Her purchase also includes transport to your farm on a regularly scheduled transport trip to your area. Please inquire about specifics.
